Reviews on Babitalk: what to watch out for

By review platform

According to WikiDoc's research on November 1, 2026, clinic recommendations in Babitalk community comments should be read as promotional comments, not patient reviews. In one post, the author and 8 accounts that left congratulating comments had member numbers in a row. 21 accounts wrote the same line, "I had revision surgery with Dr. Yeo Hyeon-dong at TS". Looking at more than a hundred thousand Babitalk comments from May to October 2026, we found 70 accounts that push the same 7 clinics, including Ucanb Plastic Surgery and Borndi Plastic Surgery. They wrote thousands of comments, all on weekday daytime, never on weekends or evenings. 75% of the comments that named these clinics came from these 70 accounts. Counting every clinic the same way, the clinic these groups of accounts pushed most was DA Plastic Surgery (134 accounts).

01The short answer

According to WikiDoc's research on November 1, 2026, clinic recommendations in Babitalk community comments should be read as promotional comments, not patient reviews. WikiDoc looked through more than a hundred thousand Babitalk comments from May to October 2026. This is what we found.

  1. The author and the commenters were one group. On the post "arm liposuction at Lamar Premier", 8 accounts left congratulating comments within less than 5 minutes. With them, all 12 commenting accounts are in a numbered group with the author. Ten of these have member numbers that go up by 1.
  2. 21 accounts wrote the same testimonial. "I had revision surgery with Dr. Yeo Hyeon-dong." One account posted a testimonial of over 70 characters 6 seconds after the post went up.
  3. The same phrases kept coming back in "I had surgery there" reviews of DA Plastic Surgery. One account posted reviews totaling more than 300 characters on three different posts within 28 seconds.
  4. 70 accounts pushed the same 7 clinics. They are Ucanb Plastic Surgery, Borndi Plastic Surgery, Lee & Lee Plastic Surgery, LE ROSE Clinic, The Moon Plastic Surgery, Girin Plastic Surgery and Omega Plastic Surgery. These accounts wrote thousands of comments. Not one was posted on a weekend, and not one in the evening or at night. All were posted on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. 75% of the comments that named those clinics came from these 70 accounts.
  5. Accounts with back-to-back sign-up order moved in groups. 61 of the 70 accounts belonged to 15 such groups. In one question post, 5 of the 6 comments came from these accounts.
  6. 25 more accounts named only Louvre Plastic Surgery. All 161 of their comments named this clinic, and all were posted on weekday daytime.
  7. Counting every clinic the same way, number one was DA Plastic Surgery. 40 groups of weekday-daytime-only accounts, 134 accounts in all, put the name DA Plastic Surgery in over a thousand comments. 66 accounts named only DA Plastic Surgery. Fitting Clinic and TS Plastic Surgery come next.

These accounts write like regular members: "I had it done here too", "my friend had it done and it went well". These are promotional comments, not patient reviews. Only Babitalk knows who runs these accounts. These data cannot show whether the clinics ordered it.

02The author and the commenters are one group

Babitalk numbers its members in the order they sign up. Accounts whose numbers go up by 1 were made one after another, at almost the same time.

On October 15, 2026, a post titled "arm liposuction at Lamar Premier" went up. The author is member 15882766. From 7:52 p.m., within less than 5 minutes, 8 accounts left congratulating comments one after another: "It went well, congrats", "Dr. Kim is skilled! He has a really long career". Counting the accounts that came at dawn, all 12 commenting accounts are between 15882709 and 15882769. Ten of them (15882709 to 15882718) go up by 1. From 2 a.m., the author posted 29 replies in 30 minutes: "you should do it too lol, recommended".

Another account in the same group (15882768) posted "Curious about a first double eyelid consultation" on October 11. In 18 minutes, 14 accounts numbered between 15882763 and 15882834 answered in a row, and three of them talked up Dr. Jeong Min-gyeong of Mind Plastic Surgery. The author posted 26 replies in 14 minutes.

There were two more posts of the same shape in September. Accounts numbered next to the author comment, and the author fires off more than 30 replies in a little over 7 minutes. The one asking and the ones answering are on the same side. The question post itself should be read as promotion.

0321 accounts, one line: "I had revision surgery with Dr. Yeo Hyeon-dong"

Over five months, 21 different accounts wrote the same sentence more than 60 times, saying they had revision surgery with Dr. Yeo Hyeon-dong of TS Plastic Surgery. Among them are four groups with numbers close together: 16231273 · 16231310 · 16231332, 17494186 · 17494207 · 17494227, 17622039 · 17622112 · 17622116 · 17622129, 17340407 · 17340451 · 17341249.

  • Syuda** (16231273) wrote the same testimonial 8 times.
  • Bangap** (17566949) put Dr. Yeo Hyeon-dong in 29 of 60 comments. On October 28, it posted a testimonial of over 70 characters 6 seconds after a post went up: "I had eye revision with the doctor too and got exactly the line I wanted". 6 seconds is not enough to read a post and write 70 characters.
  • Dr. Lee Seung-chan at the same clinic is the same. 20 accounts wrote "I had (nose) revision surgery with Dr. Lee Seung-chan", and 97% of it was on weekday daytime.

04The same phrases in "I had surgery there" reviews of DA Plastic Surgery

Among comments saying they had surgery at DA Plastic Surgery, 124 accounts wrote comments in which the same phrases keep coming back: "surgeon real-name system" (57 accounts), "assigned a recovery manager" (52), "dantrolene · UPS · AED" (23), "9 anesthesiologists" (22), and "cooperation with ENT". It is rare for patients writing about their own experience to pick out the clinic's equipment and policies in exactly the same way. WikiDoc has not checked whether these phrases match the clinic's actual advertising.

  • Four accounts with member numbers that go up by 1 (15953517 to 15953520) all say they had contouring surgery at DA Plastic Surgery. DA appears in 53 of the 55 comments these four accounts wrote.

  • Mallang** (15953518) posted reviews on three different posts at 4:13:28, 4:13:43 and 4:13:56 p.m. on June 4. Together, the three comments written within 28 seconds are over 300 characters long. That is not the speed at which a person reads and writes.

  • Some testimonials match word for word. Three accounts wrote the same DA Plastic Surgery review that starts "Because I always breathed through my mouth, my mouth was always dry".
  • 80% of these comments were written on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. There are many from 11 a.m. through the noon hour, then a sharp drop in the 1 p.m. hour, and the count climbs again from 3 p.m. It looks like a lunch break.

05Other findings

  • Several posts within 1 minute. 144 accounts left comments of more than 60 characters on more than three different posts within 1 minute. Eai** (12412879) recommended Boneeye Plastic Surgery on 5 posts in 52 seconds. Beuro** (13102462) named Dr. Moon Seong-ho of Boneeye Plastic Surgery on 4 posts in 33 seconds, Jjage** (12953511) named DA Plastic Surgery on 3 breast posts in 40 seconds, and Bossam** (17419984) named EDGE Plastic Surgery on 3 posts in 47 seconds.
  • The same template, only the clinics change. 36 accounts wrote "I have heard a lot that (two clinics) are good too". Only the pair of clinic names changes, like BATANG · YUNO or NANA · DA.
  • Woori Plastic Surgery, "the accident-free clinic". 20 accounts wrote comments calling Woori Plastic Surgery an accident-free clinic, 98% of them on weekday daytime. Four accounts from 16846077 to 16846080 go up by 1.
  • POP Plastic Surgery. Tokki** (17736729) posted the same line, "I had eye revision at POP Plastic Surgery and I'm happy with it", on 4 posts in 2 minutes 17 seconds. Two other accounts wrote the same sentence.
  • TJ Plastic Surgery. There are two groups of three accounts whose numbers go up by 1 (17880213 to 17880215, 17970659 to 17970661). Jeongsin** (17808369) and Ikkem** (17880213) wrote "I had under-eye fat repositioning at TJ and I'm really satisfied" word for word.
  • Laviche Clinic. More than 30 accounts wrote that they had treatment at Laviche Clinic, and all of those comments were written on weekday daytime. There are groups with numbers close together, like 16955304 · 16955332 · 16955342 and 17471417 · 17471424 · 17471426.

06What Babitalk is

Babitalk is an app for finding clinics for plastic surgery and skin treatments. It has clinic reviews, deal prices, consultation requests and a community.

Babitalk connects users with clinics and gets paid by the clinics. A clinic puts money in advance. Each time a user requests a consultation and their customer information is passed on, an amount is taken from that money. The app earns money from the connection fees clinics pay.

The community has boards for surgery consultations, clinic recommendation questions, free chat and more. Under a "Where should I go?" post, comments naming clinics pile up one after another. This is where promotional accounts aim.

  • All five accounts talk up Tami Plastic Surgery in Namdong-gu, Incheon: "good choice", "lots of people go there", "anyone you have your eye on?", "I saw the reviews here and picked it right away too". ① Watta** even named the doctor, Choi Seong-hun. ② Ganjeol** also wrote "Seran".
  • Accounts ②, ③ and ④ signed up almost back to back. Their member numbers are 1 to 4 apart.
  • None of the five accounts posted a single comment on a weekend or in the evening in the past 5 months.

The person who asked reads this as five people each giving a recommendation. All five are among the 70 accounts WikiDoc found. These comments should be read as coming from the same side.

This question itself names Dr. Kim Jun-ho of Ucanb Plastic Surgery: "my friend had it done there and it went well, I'm definitely going, but recommend one more place". Almost all of the 17 comments below are clinic names. More than ten different clinics come up one after another.

Pink accounts ① Rakeo** (13185009) and ② Ganjeol** (13185010) talk up Dr. Kim Jun-ho of Ucanb Plastic Surgery, named in the question, again. They post once a day for three days, each time around 3 p.m.: "I looked at the Gangnam side first too", "I'm curious too, I want to get a consultation". These two are the same accounts that talked up Tami Plastic Surgery in the screen above.

Another post asking where is good for nose revision. Of the 16 comments, almost none are without a clinic name. ① Naemam\*\* and ② Swinin\*\* are accounts that name only Louvre Plastic Surgery (written in Korean initials in the comments), posted one right after the other within 5 minutes. ③ Geulchit\*\* is one of the grouped accounts from the earlier screens

Here too, the question names Dr. Kim Jun-ho of Ucanb Plastic Surgery first. It is the same clinic and the same doctor as in the previous post. Of the 16 comments, almost none are without a clinic name.

  • ① Naemam** (17460458) and ② Swinin** (17415370) were posted one right after the other within 5 minutes. Both use the same pattern: "I had it done at [initials] and I'm happy with it". The initials stand for Louvre Plastic Surgery. In other Babitalk posts, the same doctor's name appears with "Louvre". Every comment these two accounts have ever posted names this clinic.
  • ③ Geulchit** (13185013) is one of the grouped accounts from the two earlier screens. It talks up Dr. Kim Jun-ho of Ucanb Plastic Surgery, named in the question, again.

In the same period, 25% of regular members' comments were posted in the evening, at night or early morning, and 6% on weekends. The 70 accounts are different.

Regular members 70 accounts
Comments more than ten thousand thousands
Comments on weekends 6% 0
Comments in the evening, at night or early morning (6 p.m. to 9 a.m.) 25% 0

They wrote thousands of comments over more than five months and never once posted after work hours or on a weekend. This is very unlikely for regular members.

These accounts also change their nicknames often. Ganjeol** (13185010) rotated through four nicknames in five months. Another account (15421670) used fourteen. When the name changes, other members find it hard to tell it is the same person.

09Groups of accounts with back-to-back sign-up order

Babitalk gives each member a number in the order they signed up. 61 of the 70 accounts belonged to 15 groups whose numbers are only a few apart. They are accounts made all at once, on the same day, in the same place.

  • The largest group has 6 accounts within 10 member numbers: 13185009 (Rakeo**), 13185010 (Ganjeol**), 13185011, 13185013 (Geulchit**), 13185017 and 13185019. These 6 wrote 894 comments. 0 on weekends, 0 in the evening or at night. Ucanb Plastic Surgery appears in 366 of them, and Borndi Plastic Surgery in 149.
  • Another group has 11 accounts within 40 member numbers, from 15737899 to 15737938. 429 comments, also all on weekday daytime. Ucanb Plastic Surgery appears in 151 of them.
  • Each group pushes the same clinics. Different groups take turns talking up the same 7 clinics. In every group, the name that comes up most is Ucanb Plastic Surgery.

A clinic being recommended does not mean it owns the account. There are a few possibilities. First, it may be a marketing agency handling several clinics at once. Second, it may be one clinic's account that adds other clinics, because naming only one place looks like promotion. This is a trick where a lower-ranked clinic slips in the names of clinics that advertise a lot or rank high in search.

On Babitalk, you see lines like "lots of people go to this clinic" and "this place gets mentioned a lot" about some clinics. If you look at who said it, it is mostly the same accounts. Being mentioned a lot may itself be something made up.

11Counting every clinic the same way

We found the 70 accounts above by following Ucanb Plastic Surgery. So we counted every clinic that appears on Babitalk again, the same way.

  1. Thousands of accounts wrote more than 10 comments. Nearly half of them never posted on weekends or evenings, only on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.
  2. Among these accounts, we grouped those whose member numbers are within 40 of each other. There were more than 300 groups and more than 900 accounts.
  3. If more than 15% of a group's comments named one clinic, we counted that group as pushing that clinic.

DA Plastic Surgery has the most accounts and the most comments. Its name appears in thousands of Babitalk comments, and the groups wrote 16% of them. For PLANNER Plastic Surgery, 95% of the comments naming it came from these groups.

The comments from the groups pushing DA Plastic Surgery look like this: "Look into DA, it lifts in three layers, natural but clear", "Look into DA too, contouring is where it started!", "I had my surgery there too and the result was satisfying". The TS Plastic Surgery side names a doctor too, as in "take a look at TS, Dr. Kim Gijae too".

12Accounts that name only one clinic

For each clinic, we counted accounts that wrote more than 3 comments, named the same clinic in every one, and posted all of them on weekday daytime.

Regular members do not put the same clinic name in every comment. The 66 accounts that name only DA Plastic Surgery have member numbers spread from about 12.94 million to 18.44 million. Old and new accounts are mixed together.

The pattern is even clearer for Louvre Plastic Surgery (Gangnam-gu, Seoul). Among them, 25 accounts that write it in Korean initials wrote 161 comments, all about this clinic. All 161 were also posted on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The comments look almost the same.

  1. They agree with the question: "for a revision, going to a place with solid experience is the answer".
  2. They write as if it were their own experience: "I had it done at [Louvre, in initials]".
  3. They praise the result: "the line came out refined, nothing looks artificial".

Several of the 25 accounts have member numbers within a few dozen of each other. Four accounts, 16956012, 16956026, 16956042 and 16956043, are within 31 numbers. Five accounts, 17401087, 17401108, 17401113, 17401219 and 17401231, are also close together. One group posts a few comments steadily every weekday. They take weekends off.

Korean medical law bans taking money for referring patients and using treatment experiences in ads. Writing clinic promotion as if it were a patient review falls under this ban.

13Other things to note

Almost all high ratings

From October 25 to 27, 2026, WikiDoc looked at the average ratings shown on Babitalk clinic pages. More than 300 clinics had ratings.

  • Average 4.68, median 4.8
  • 4 or higher: all but two
  • Below 3.5: 2 clinics

On an app where clinics pay, ratings cannot help you tell clinics apart.

Clinic pages mixed with reviews from other clinics

Reviews sometimes follow the doctor rather than the clinic. When a doctor moves, reviews of treatments done at the old clinic may appear on the new clinic's page. You can tell by comparing the place described in the review with the clinic's address.

15How to read Babitalk reviews safely

  • Tap the person who left a recommendation and look at their other comments. If the same clinic comes up in every comment, it is promotion.
  • "My friend had it done", "lots of people go there" and "take a look at this one too" are the lines promotional accounts use most.
  • Be suspicious when the question names a clinic first and the comments talk up that clinic again.
  • Filter out accounts whose comments are posted only on weekday daytime.
  • Ignore the average rating. Collect and read only the low-score reviews.
  • Before you press the consultation request button, know that your contact details will be passed to the clinic.
  • Read reviews of the same clinic on Gangnam Unni, Naver and Google Maps as well.

16FAQ

Can I trust clinic recommendations in Babitalk comments?

Do not take them at face value. According to WikiDoc's research on November 1, 2026, there were posts where the author and the commenting accounts had member numbers in a row. The same side asked and answered with several accounts. 21 accounts wrote the same line, "I had revision surgery with Dr. Yeo Hyeon-dong at TS". Also, 70 accounts commented only on weekday daytime and kept recommending Ucanb Plastic Surgery, Borndi Plastic Surgery, Lee & Lee Plastic Surgery, LE ROSE Clinic, The Moon Plastic Surgery, Girin Plastic Surgery and Omega Plastic Surgery. 3 out of every 4 comments that named these clinics came from these accounts. Counting every clinic the same way, DA Plastic Surgery, Fitting Clinic and TS Plastic Surgery came out on top. Always check whether the person who recommended a clinic pushes the same clinic in other posts too.

How can I spot a promotional account?

The same clinic name shows up in each of that person's comments. They repeat lines like "my friend had it done there", "take a look at this one too" and "lots of people go there". Their comment times are bunched on weekday daytime. If a question post gets several comments like this, they may not be answers from regular members.

Are Babitalk ratings reliable?

They are almost useless for comparing clinics. Of the more than 300 clinics WikiDoc looked at in October 2026, all but two scored 4 or higher. It is better to read what the low-score reviews say on their own.

Are all reviews on a clinic page for treatments done at that clinic?

Not always. When a doctor moves to another clinic, that doctor's old reviews sometimes appear on the new clinic's page too. Check the date and the description of the place in the review.
